Commissioning a project
I will usually arrange to visit your home to see the space and discuss design ideas.
Many of my clients have seen something in a magazine and will show me clippings. Others take inspiration from the design of other furniture or architectural details in the house. If no “look” has been decided on, I can suggest design ideas and hopefully provide some inspiration. I will take rough measurements, and send you a quotation.
Once the quote is accepted, I will ask for a small deposit, at which point I can go on to produce design drawings, where appropriate, and show you samples of the materials for the project.
At this point you can either accept the drawings and design specifications, or ask for revisions.
Once everything is agreed, I can then put you in my diary and start work on the project at my workshop as soon as I have available time.
Finally, when everything has been made, I will come and install the project in your home. I keep installation times and mess to a minimum by pre-assembling and preparing the work ahead of time in the workshop as much as possible.
